Precision-turned bronze components

Material

Bronze

Wear- and corrosion-resistant bronze for bearings, bushings, and electrical components — machined to tight tolerance on Davenport multi-spindles with consistent finish.

Grades & Alloys

Phosphor bronze

Phosphor bronze is a copper-tin-phosphorus alloy valued for its excellent fatigue resistance, spring properties, and corrosion resistance, often used for electrical contacts, springs, and wear components. It machines reasonably well but tends to produce tougher chips than free-cutting brass, especially in harder tempers. Davenport multi-spindle and Hybrid platforms allow Gates Albert to combine high-speed turning with controlled chip-breaking and coolant delivery, giving stable production of phosphor bronze parts with consistent spring performance and tight dimensional control.
